In 1843 George Watson bought he business and in 1864 Walter Hazell became a partner. In 1867 George Watson retired and his son took over, at this point the firm's became Watson and Hazell and they published many works under this name. In 1875 J. Elliott Viney joined and the name was changed to Hazell, Watson and Viney.
